About Grass Valley HQ/HQX codec
The Grass Valley HQ/HQX codec is an intermediate codec that provides both image quality preservation during editing and workstation performance.Grass Valley HQX codec supports 8 and 10bit color depth, alpha channel, resolutions up to 4K 60p.
Grass Valley HQ is the codec on which HQX is based, and is a high-quality codec that is also used by broadcasters. Both can be used with AVI and QuickTime, and are excellent codecs that can be smoothly integrated between Windows and Mac.
