IMPORTANT NOTICE

– From version 11.40, the [Search results] folders in the Bin window created in EDIUS X or earlier are now taken over, and the search result folders in [Search] created in EDIUS 11.00 – 11.22 are now only displayed under each project in Mync and the Mync window instead
*Project files store both.
*Even if a new search is performed in the Bin window and the [Search results] folder is added, it will not appear in Mync or the Mync window, and vice vasa.
*To use the existing search result folders created in EDIUS 11.00 – 11.22 in the Bin window, they must be recreated manually.
– Due to fixes for security reasons, when you downgrade EDIUS from version 11.50 to 11.40 or earlier including EDIUS X, you need to uninstall not only EDIUS but also GV License Manager

New Features

EDIUS

– Added an AI-powered “Speech to text” feature
*Since the process is completed within the local environment, no information is transmitted to the outside.
*A GPU and its driver that support Vulkan 1.3 or higher are required.
*The VisTitle plug-in must be installed. (Version 3.5.6.0 or later is recommended.)

– Added a “Quick Fix Export” feature to revise exported files quickly (EDIUS Broadcast only)
*This feature can be used for files exported with disabling the [Display Timecode] and [Enable Conversion] options. In addition, the exporter used must be fully compatible with the project settings to avoid implicit conversion during export.
*Because this feature uses data in the database, the current project must be saved to update the database before using this feature.
*Depending on the exporter and codec used, the entire file must be re-encoded. In this case, a warning will be displayed when exporting the revised file.

– Added “Sort” context menu to the Effect palette
– Added an option to the auto save settings to overwrite the current project file itself in addition to the existing behavior

Mync

– The file names are now displayed as much as possible when the column width of “Path” is too narrow to display the entire path

Fixed or Improved Issues

EDIUS

– There is a case where some windows overlap the full screen preview once timeline window is selected
– When playing certain MP4 clips from certain points, the audio becomes silent for a few seconds (SFDC00933622)
– Occasionally unnecessary .MSI files remain on the PC after updating/removing GV License Manager
*This fix prevents new such files from remaining but does not automatically remove existing ones.
– When “ISO Speed” is set as a search category in the Mync window’s refined search feature, the dropdown list of content of search becomes empty
– The default value of “Days to keep jobs in history” setting is 1 day instead of 7 days as the manual describes
*If an older build of EDIUS 11 has been installed, the old default value ​​will be retained. To change it, please use the Admin Console tool.

– Files generated with “Render and Add to Timeline” will be deleted if a project is opened then closed after changing the path of the project folder (SFDC00927178)
– When the folder selection dialog is opened during creating a new project, there is a case where the default folder name is one character shorter than it should be
– If thumbnail view is selected in the Thumbnail pane of the Mync window, selecting multiple assets and right-clicking deselects all assets except one
– Thumbnails of certain assets in the Mync window are upside down
– In rare cases, EDIUS freezes during operating if floating licenses are used
– The horizontal scroll bar in the Sidebar of the Mync window does not appear properly

Mync

Known Issues

EDIUS

– Values set to key frames are not displayed properly on the timeline pane of effect settings of OpenFX plug-ins
* Values themselves are set properly
– Alpha channel is not applied correctly when using some video filters and transitions in the Boris FX Sapphire plug-in
– Video filters of the Boris FX Sapphire plug-in do not work properly for sequence clips
– Loading presets does not work properly on some video filters in the Boris FX Sapphire plug-in
– In interlaced projects, clips with OpenFX plugin effects applied appear as striped images in proxy mode or during draft preview
– Wrong images are sometimes inserted during playing a clip with an OpenFX plug-in effects applied if the frame size of the clip is smaller than the current project’s frame size
– Timecodes added to an audio clip is different between the Bin window and the Player if the TC mode of the project is changed
– Stabilizer filter is ignored if file export is started before completion of analysis by Stabilizer
– EDIUS crashes when BCC FX Browser in the Boris FX Continuum plug-in is applied to a clip
– EDIUS freezes when an OpenFX plug-in of Boris FX shows a license expiration warning dialog
– Markers deleted with Mync remain on EDIUS
– EDIUS freezes when the setting dialog of S_DissolveStatic in the Boris FX Sapphire plug-in is opened
– EDIUS freezes when the settings dialog of Polarizer in the Boris FX Continuum plug-in is opened in the secondary monitor
– At some effects of Boris FX Continuum plug-in, some slider bars on their settings dialogs do not work properly

Mync

– Mync 11 bundled with EDIUS 11 Broadcast does not play Dolby Digital (AC-3), play Dolby Digital Professional (AC-3) nor Dolby Digital Plus (E-AC-3) audio
– When the first launch of Mync 11 after upgrading from Mync X or EDIUS X, occasionally the database migration dialog does not appear automatically
For workaround, Select “Database Migration…” from the Help menu to migrate database
– Occasionally Mync will not work properly after switching the Windows account without signing out
– There is no way to delete assets used in EDIUS project templates
– “Send to EDIUS Bin” and “Show in Player” context menu items of an export job do not work properly if the exported clip consists of multiple files
