IMPORTANT NOTICE

The [Search results] folders in the Bin window created in EDIUS X or earlier is now taken over, and the search result folders in [Search] created in EDIUS 11.00 – 11.22 is now only displayed under each project in Mync and the Mync window instead
*Project files store both.
*Even if a new search is performed in the Bin window and the [Search results] folder is added, it will not appear in Mync or the Mync window, and vice vasa.
*To use the existing search result folders created in EDIUS 11.00 – 11.22 in the Bin window, they must be recreated manually.

*When the Auto Color Correction filter is newly applied, the “Saturation” option is enabled by default.
– Supports hardware processing of preview and video rendering for the following:
– Timeline clips with time effects
*Excluding when the [Interpolation Method] option is set to “Optical flow”.
– Timeline clips with frame rate/field order conversions
*Frame rate/field order conversions set in exporters are not included in this improvement.

Fixed or Improved Issues

EDIUS

– When a project template is created, search result folders in the Bin are not stored in the template
*Regardless of this fix, folders in [Search] displayed in the Mync window cannot be used as templates
– During Title Insertion Mode, the selected clip in the Bin window is not loaded to the Player automatically
– When a still sequence clip is offline, the clip does not appear on the “Restore and Transfer Clips” dialog and the Properties dialog cannot be opened for it
– The root folder does not appear and items in the bin cannot be accessed in certain projects
– There is a procedure that breaks color bar clips and/or color matte clips in the Bin
– When closing a project, EDIUS does not ask whether you want to save the project if you have worked in the Bin window only
– When a lot of clips are in the current folder, occasionally the clip view in the Bin window takes a long time to show clips properly after scrolling the view
– Thumbnails of clips registered with [Transfer to Project folder] option will disappear
– Once a clip goes offline, the thumbnail remains offline even if it goes online again
– If “Proxy” is selected in the “Checked Out Source Files” during checking out a project, and if the checked out project is opened at the same PC from which the project is checked out, the clips in the original project will be changed to refer to the proxies in the checked out project as their own proxies
– The “End Timecode” and “Update Time” are empty in the Detail view of the Bin window
– Cut and paste from the Bin window to the timeline does not work (SFDC00893538)
– There are cases where “Duplicate Sequence” context menu for timeline sequence clips does not work properly
– Depending on the timing, the value of total clip number becomes incorrect when the view mode is changed in the Bin window
– The color spaces of certain files are shown as “Unknown” incorrectly in the Detail view of the Bin window
– XDCAM clips which have their proxies are displayed as no proxy clips in the Bin window
– Timeline sequence clips imported from other projects appear as if they are offline
– There is a case where waveform cache files are not generated for clips
– Disc Burner incorrectly warns about the presence of dummy filters
– Occasionally EDIUS freezes or crashes when opening a project if a huge project is already opened
– EDIUS occasionally freezes when creating a new sequence (SFDC00916004, 00917612)
– Timeline export fails in certain exporters if a color bar clip is placed (SFDC00917328)
– Partially transparent and unmovable dialog appears on the Job window
– Clips created by “Render and Add to Timeline” have incorrect clip properties (SFDC00918680)
– UHD / 4K capture using AJA KONA 5 does not work (SFDC00918707)
– Cut and paste from the Bin window to the timeline does not work
– There are cases where shared profiles will be corrupt
– EDIUS rarely crashes when performing “Undo” on the timeline (SFDC00920028)
– Black frames appear during playing back certain H.264/AVC clips (SFDC00916344)
– There is a case where exported H.264/AVC files contain incorrect metadata
– When F5 is pressed in the GV Job Monitor tool, occasionally the window only shows “404 File not found”
– There are cases where preview of the Primary Color Correction filter does not work properly

Mync

– [Color Space] and [Color Range] of certain assets are shown as “Unknown” in the properties pane
– [SHIFT] + click for multiple selection does not work properly
– Partially transparent and unmovable dialog appears on the Job Monitor
– Black frames appear during playing back certain H.264/AVC assets (SFDC00916344)
– There is a case where exported H.264/AVC files contain incorrect metadata

Known Issues

EDIUS

– Values set to key frames are not displayed properly on the timeline pane of effect settings of OpenFX plug-ins
* Values themselves are set properly
– Alpha channel is not applied correctly when using some video filters and transitions in the Boris FX Sapphire plug-in
– Video filters of the Boris FX Sapphire plug-in do not work properly for sequence clips
– Loading presets does not work properly on some video filters in the Boris FX Sapphire plug-in
– In interlaced projects, clips with OpenFX plugin effects applied appear as striped images in proxy mode or during draft preview
– Wrong images are sometimes inserted during playing a clip with an OpenFX plug-in effects applied if the frame size of the clip is smaller than the current project’s frame size
– Timecodes added to an audio clip is different between the Bin window and the Player if the TC mode of the project is changed
– Stabilizer filter is ignored if file export is started before completion of analysis by Stabilizer
– EDIUS crashes when BCC FX Browser in the Boris FX Continuum plug-in is applied to a clip
– EDIUS freezes when an OpenFX plug-in of Boris FX shows a license expiration warning dialog
– Markers deleted with Mync remain on EDIUS
– EDIUS freezes when the setting dialog of S_DissolveStatic in the Boris FX Sapphire plug-in is opened
– EDIUS freezes when the settings dialog of Polarizer in the Boris FX Continuum plug-in is opened in the secondary monitor
– At some effects of Boris FX Continuum plug-in, some slider bars on their settings dialogs do not work properly
– Occasionally EDIUS will not work properly after switching the Windows account without signing out
– If there are many assets in the library of Mync, the overall editing performance of EDIUS will decrease
* Note that all clips that are registered to a project at least once will be automatically registered to the library of Mync regardless of whether the project is saved or not
– Deleting a project from Mync is not prevented properly when the project is open in a remote EDIUS, as the result the Bin contents of the deleted project will be lost (Chorus Hub environment only)
For workaround, When deleting a project from Mync, make sure no EDIUS client uses that project
– “Send to EDIUS Bin” and “Show in Player” context menu items of an export job do not work properly if the exported clip consists of multiple files
– In some cases, a clip is unable to be registered by dragging and dropping it from a project to another within the Mync window
– “Convert File” might fail
For workaround, Retry if it fails
– “Convert File” will reset changes to clip properties like Start TC, Frame Rate, Aspect Ratio, etc.
– In the Job window, unnecessary scroll bars always appear and hide edges of UI
– In rare cases, the Mync and the Job windows are not displayed when opening a project
For workaround, Restart EDIUS
– The Mync window layout becomes a little strange at times

Mync

– Mync 11 bundled with EDIUS 11 Broadcast does not play Dolby Digital (AC-3), play Dolby Digital Professional (AC-3) nor Dolby Digital Plus (E-AC-3) audio
– When the first launch of Mync 11 after upgrading from Mync X or EDIUS X, occasionally the database migration dialog does not appear automatically
For workaround, Select “Database Migration…” from the Help menu to migrate database
– Occasionally Mync will not work properly after switching the Windows account without signing out
– Deleting a project is not prevented properly when the project is open in a remote EDIUS, as the result the Bin contents of the deleted project will be lost (Chorus Hub environment only)
For workaround, When deleting a project, make sure no EDIUS client uses that project
– There is no way to delete assets used in EDIUS project templates
– “Send to EDIUS Bin” and “Show in Player” context menu items of an export job do not work properly if the exported clip consists of multiple files
– In some cases, a clip is unable to be registered by dragging and dropping it from a project to another
– In the Projects node, occasionally thumbnails for some types of clips like third-party titler, color bar, etc. are not displayed and appear to be offline
– “Convert File” might fail
For workaround, Retry if it fails
– There is a case where unnecessary blank area appears beside the Properties pane if the width of the pane is changed then Mync is restarted
– “Convert File” will reset changes to clip properties like Start TC, Frame Rate, Aspect Ratio, etc.
– In the Job Monitor, unnecessary scroll bars always appear and hide edges of UI
– The [Management] tab layout becomes a little strange at times
