IMPORTANT NOTICE

From version 11.40, the [Search results] folders in the Bin window created in EDIUS X or earlier are now taken over, and the search result folders in [Search] created in EDIUS 11.00 – 11.22 are now only displayed under each project in Mync and the Mync window instead
*Project files store both.
*Even if a new search is performed in the Bin window and the [Search results] folder is added, it will not appear in Mync or the Mync window, and vice vasa.
*To use the existing search result folders created in EDIUS 11.00 – 11.22 in the Bin window, they must be recreated manually.

EDIUS

– Added/improved features as below by upgrading RED R3D SDK to v9.1.2:
– Added support for Extended Highlights and Broadcast Color
– Fixed some issues when using multiple GPUs
– Fixed issue where gamma metadata was incorrect for Broadcast clips
– Added a feature as below by upgrading Blackmagic RAW SDK to v5.1.0:
– Added support for Blackmagic RAW files shot by Leica SL3-S, Sony FX3 and Sony FX30
– Improved EDIUS startup performance when “EDIUS 11 S3 Direct Access Option” is installed
– EDIUS now automatically imports changes to bins and clips in the current project made by external tools like Mync
– When registering a default exporter, the settings in the [Job setting] pane of the “Print to File” dialog are now preserved as part of the configuration
– Exporter presets now contain settings in the [Job setting] pane of the “Print to File” dialog
*These settings will not be restored when new exporter presets are imported into an older version of EDIUS 11 (11.40.19830 or earlier) or EDIUS X.

Fixed or Improved Issues

EDIUS

– When field editing, if the checkout source project is opened with [Undo check out] option, the project is incorrectly opened as read-only
– When creating a clip using the [Add to Bin] option in an exporter, there are cases where the thumbnail for the clip does not appear
– In some languages, the font used in the Marker window is different from other windows (SFDC00928704)
– External Render jobs take a long time if their source projects are in network locations (Chorus Hub environment only) (SFDC00929225)
– Occasionally exporting H.265/HEVC files using Intel Quick Sync Video fails
– Full screen preview size is unexpectedly changed once timeline window is selected (SFDC00928125)
– In the Job window, right-clicking a job does not select the job
– Certain MP4 files cannot be loaded properly (SFDC00930145)
– In the Mync window, occasionally some strings that should be in another language appear in English
– There is a case where the Job window and GV Job Monitor tool are displayed in English even though the rest of the UI is displayed in another language (SFDC00928500)
– When backward time effect is applied to a timeline clip, the position of the clip is changed unexpectedly, possibly overwriting other clips (SFDC00930367)
– GDI objects leak when the Properties view or the Properties dialog is updated (SFDC00925938, 00928221, 00932515)
– An unnecessary scroll bar keeps flickering in the Properties view when a growing clip is selected (SFDC00933784)
– In the “Print to File” dialog, enabling/disabling the [Enable Conversion] option incorrectly resets the settings in the [Captions] and [Job setting] panes
– There is a case where changing the preset/exporter selection in the “Print to File” dialog does not update some settings properly
– The loudness meter preset specified as the default in the System Settings is not selected by default in the [Normalize Loudness] pane of the “Print to File” dialog
– EDIUS crashes while playing back HEIC files

Mync

– Occasionally exporting H.265/HEVC files using Intel Quick Sync Video fails
– In the Job Monitor, right-clicking a job does not select the job
– Certain MP4 files cannot be loaded properly (SFDC00930145)
– Occasionally some strings that should be in another language appear in English

Known Issues

EDIUS

– Values set to key frames are not displayed properly on the timeline pane of effect settings of OpenFX plug-ins
* Values themselves are set properly
– Alpha channel is not applied correctly when using some video filters and transitions in the Boris FX Sapphire plug-in
– Video filters of the Boris FX Sapphire plug-in do not work properly for sequence clips
– Loading presets does not work properly on some video filters in the Boris FX Sapphire plug-in
– In interlaced projects, clips with OpenFX plugin effects applied appear as striped images in proxy mode or during draft preview
– Wrong images are sometimes inserted during playing a clip with an OpenFX plug-in effects applied if the frame size of the clip is smaller than the current project’s frame size
– Timecodes added to an audio clip is different between the Bin window and the Player if the TC mode of the project is changed
– Stabilizer filter is ignored if file export is started before completion of analysis by Stabilizer
– EDIUS crashes when BCC FX Browser in the Boris FX Continuum plug-in is applied to a clip
– EDIUS freezes when an OpenFX plug-in of Boris FX shows a license expiration warning dialog
– Markers deleted with Mync remain on EDIUS
– EDIUS freezes when the setting dialog of S_DissolveStatic in the Boris FX Sapphire plug-in is opened
– EDIUS freezes when the settings dialog of Polarizer in the Boris FX Continuum plug-in is opened in the secondary monitor
– At some effects of Boris FX Continuum plug-in, some slider bars on their settings dialogs do not work properly
– Occasionally EDIUS will not work properly after switching the Windows account without signing out
– If there are many assets in the library of Mync, the overall editing performance of EDIUS will decrease
* Note that all clips that are registered to a project at least once will be automatically registered to the library of Mync regardless of whether the project is saved or not
– “Send to EDIUS Bin” and “Show in Player” context menu items of an export job do not work properly if the exported clip consists of multiple files

Mync

– Mync 11 bundled with EDIUS 11 Broadcast does not play Dolby Digital (AC-3), play Dolby Digital Professional (AC-3) nor Dolby Digital Plus (E-AC-3) audio
– When the first launch of Mync 11 after upgrading from Mync X or EDIUS X, occasionally the database migration dialog does not appear automatically
For workaround, Select “Database Migration…” from the Help menu to migrate database
– Occasionally Mync will not work properly after switching the Windows account without signing out
– There is no way to delete assets used in EDIUS project templates
– “Send to EDIUS Bin” and “Show in Player” context menu items of an export job do not work properly if the exported clip consists of multiple files
