– Changed the status icons to make the status easier to understand.
– Improved the displayed information to be more useful when the column width is too narrow to display the entire information.

– Column widths are now easier to change.
– EDIUS running on an Amazon EC2 instance is now able to access S3 buckets without an internet gateway (EDIUS Cloud only)

Mync

– Improved the general responsiveness
– Mync running on an Amazon EC2 instance is now able to access S3 buckets without an internet gateway (Mync Cloud only)
– Removed the Vimeo Uploader
*The Vimeo Uploader in previous versions is no longer available due to the termination of our contract with Vimeo.

Fixed Issues

EDIUS

– When a remote desktop connection to a PC running EDIUS is disconnected and then reconnected, occasionally the Preview window displays black video or EDIUS crashes (EDIUS Cloud only)
– If Out point is set twice consecutively at the same position, the Out point is set one frame before (SFDC00853558)
– After every update of the Floating License Server, “.log” will be appended to the path of “Vendor Daemon Log Location”
*The current path will not be corrected automatically by installing this build. Correct the path if necessary.
– Just after performing “Save As”, the root folder is incorrectly displayed as the current folder in the Bin window
– Occasionally Mask filter settings dialog is not drawn properly (SFDC00911100)
– Partially transparent and unmovable dialog appears on the Job window
– Timeline export fails in certain exporters if a color bar clip is placed (SFDC00917328)
– If the license service fails to be removed during uninstalling or updating EDIUS Hub Server, installing or updating EDIUS Hub Server will fail on that PC (EDIUS Hub environment only)
*This fix prevents the issue from occurring. If the issue already occurs, follow the steps below to recover:
1. Uninstall EDIUS Hub Server and GV Floating License Server if they are installed.
2. Remove the following folder:
%temp%\05d79435-1aa0-48e9-91ef-bcc32983ed0b
3. Launch command prompt as administrator.
4. Run the following command at the command prompt:
sc delete “GVLicenseServer”
(If successful, “[SC] DeleteService SUCCESS” will be shown.)
5. Restart the PC.
– Occasionally changing the speed of a timeline clip inserts unexpected gaps between timeline clips (SFDC00919928)
– There are cases where exported JPEG2000 MOV files have black frames or block noise (SFDC00920341)
– There is a case where resizing column widths in the Job window causes unexpected sorting
– When F5 is pressed in the GV Job Monitor tool, occasionally the window only shows “404 File not found”
– Deleted remote render jobs reappear in the Job Monitor (EDIUS Hub environment only)
– When an export job creates a clip that consists of multiple files, there is a case where “Send to EDIUS Bin” and “Show in Player” context menus for that job fail
– Memory usage of EDIUS Hub Identity Service increases over time
– Audio of certain MP4 clips becomes silent
– Certain MOV files cannot be loaded
– There are cases where some edges of a still image on a Title Track are not displayed (SFDC00875031)
– EDIUS rarely crashes when performing “Undo” on the timeline (SFDC00920028)

Mync

– Audio of certain MP4 assets becomes silent
– Certain MOV files cannot be loaded

Known Issues

EDIUS

– Frame number of source timecode is always shown as even number in 50p/60p clips
– Encoding in Dolby Digital Professional/Plus changes the volume of audio
– Standalone GV Job Monitor requests “EdiusHubPackage.msi” when it is launched
For workaround, Use EDIUS integrated GV Job Monitor
– MPEG2 Elementary Stream exporter is unavailable
– Some of third party plug-ins and Bonus Contents cannot be uninstalled or updated properly if GV Render Engine is running in the background
For workaround, stop GV Render Engine or background render service – here more details
– Updating Floating License Server fails if the installed version is 10.30 or earlier
For Workaround, Uninstall the old version first
– If the OS has not been restarted after changing the display scaling, sizes of texts created by QuickTitler will be unexpectedly changed at the export
For Workaround, Restart GV Render Engine before file export – here more details
– AVCHD 3D writer exporter fails to export files
– When a clip exported by the P2 3D exporter is registered in the bin, it will be handled as a sequence clip instead of a 3D clip
– When “Separate Left and Right” is selected to export a stereoscopic clip, only the L side file is export
– Vorbis exporter fails if the number of audio channels is 7 or 8, even though the exporter’s specifications allow up to 8 channels of audio
– When exporting MP3 audio, noise is exported if “Bit Depth” of audio format is set to 20bit
– The color space of the project settings is not reflected to still image files created by “Create a Still Image” function
– “Pre-roll Edit (Rec)” does not overwrite the timeline
– Error dialog is hidden behind other EDIUS windows and GUI becomes inoperable when batch export fails if the progress bar dialog is set to be shown during export
For workaround, Hit [ALT] + [ESC] several times to bring the error dialog foreground
– When overwriting an existing clip with [Add to Bin] option, the existing clip appears instead of a placeholder on the bin, and occasionally it is replaced with a black image instead of the exported clip in the end
* Once it occurs, remove the black clip, close the project, reopen it and add the exported clip again to recover from the issue

Mync

– Updating Floating License Server fails if the installed version is 10.30 or earlier
For workaround, uninstall the old version first
