If your PC has an AMD GPU and if its device driver is provided by Windows, there is possibility that EDIUS fails to start with the following error:
Resolution
Download and install the proper device driver from the manufacturer of the PC. If you have purchased and installed the GPU by yourself, download and install the driver from the website of AMD.
