EDIUS 11: NVIDIA GPU is not detected for hardware video encoding

FAQ ID:000037973 | Date:2025/05/27

I select 'NVIDIA' encoder for exporting to a file with NVIDIA NVENC hardware encoding. However, 'No HW encoding device on this system. SW encoding will be used' appears.

570 or later version NVIDIA driver must be installed to use NVIDIA NVENC hardware encoding. Follow below steps to confirm currently installed version

Steps to confirm the driver version

1) Open NVIDIA Control Panel.

Windows 11: Whilst pressing Shift key and right click on the desktop and select NVIDIA Control Panel context menu.
Windows 10: Right click on the desktop and select NVIDIA Control Panel context menu.

2) NVIDIA Control Panel will appear. Click System Information at the left bottom part.

3) Confirm ‘Driver version’ then click [Close]
