If below error occurs, your optical drive may have hardware trouble. Try  below troubleshooting:

Error#83540800
EDIUS Disc Burner failed to communicate with the optical drive. Confirm below points:

   1) Confirm that the drive is recognized in Windows Device Manager.
   2) Confirm that signal cable (SATA or USB) is connected tightly.

If there is no problem in the above, attempt to burn a disc with Windows disc burner to test the drive.

Error#83450901
This error means that tracking servo error occurred in the optical drive. Attempt cleaning pick-up lens of
the drive and then re-try burning. If the problem still persists, your optical drive may be defect.
