This knowledge base navigates way to start EDIUS without migration of older version's settings

If you upgraded from ‘-1’ older version of EDIUS, upgraded EDIUS automatically migrates older version’s settings on first time starting. As the result, settings you used in older EDIUS is automatically applied to current version.
If you want to prevent this migration, follow below steps:

 

Prerequisite
In EDIUS 11 and EDIUS X, ensure that no job is queued or ongoing in GV Job Monitor. If any job is queued or ongoing, waiting for finishing or cancel it (them)

 

Case 1: First time starting current version

1) Create C:\OldEDIUSSettings folder.

2) Move {EDIUSVER#} -1 folder in both C:\Users\{USER NAME}\AppData\Roaming\Grass Valley\EDIUS\ and C:\ProgramData\Grass Valley\EDIUS\ to the folder that is created in step#1.

3) Start EDIUS. It will start without without migration of older version’s settings.

 

Case 2: Subsequent running of EDIUS
In this case, older version’s settings have already been migrated. Follow below steps to restore current version’s settings to factory default:

1) Take the steps for case#1.

2) Remove C:\Users\{USER NAME}\AppData\Roaming\Grass Valley\EDIUS\{EDIUSVER#}.

3) Remove C:\ProgramData\Grass Valley\EDIUS\{EDIUSVER#}.

4) Start EDIUS. It will start without without migration of older version’s settings.
