When I select Help > Check for updates menu, an error message "Failed to connect to internet. Please confirm the internet connection settings." appears.

At the first, please exit EDIUS then try accessing the URL below with Microsoft Edge from the EDIUS PC:
https://ediusworld.com/support/UpdateInfo/edius11ver.xml
You should be able to see below page in the Microsoft Edge:

If opening the XML fails, upgrade to the latest build since we have fixed found issue.
If the issue still remains, HTML connection may have been blocked. Confirm your network configuration.

For workaround, visit EDIUS latest build download page and compare latest build number and currently installed build. If earlier build is being installed, download the latest build.
