An error occurs while EDIUS installation. How do I solve the problem?

Try below troubleshooting:

1. OS account
Ensure that you are signing into the OS with administrator privileges.

2. Change security option
Change security settings by opening installer file properties.

1) Right-click on the installer file then select [Properties]
2) Confirm if [Unblock] button exists, if yes click the button
3) Click [Apply] then [OK]
4) Run the installer

3. Turn off anti-virus software
If any third party anti-virus software including real-time scanning is resident, turn off it then run the installer

4. Remove the runtimes
From Apps, remove the runtimes. In some cases, process to install the runtime may fail and it blocks EDIUS installation. To know required runtimes in details, click here
  

Installation still fails…
Please send below info to technical support:

1. Error message screenshot

2. EDIUS intallation log zip file. Create it by using installation log collector tool. To get the tool, click here.

NOTE
Log collector tool cannot be used with EDIUS 9 or 8. To collect installation logs of EDIUS 9 or 8, follow the steps below:

1) Navigate to C:\Users\[USER NAME]\AppData\Local\Temp.

2) Collect below files – {VER} is EDIUS version number

EDIUS_[VER]_[YYYYMMDDHHMMSS].log
EDIUS_[VER]_[YYYYMMDDHHMMSS]_x_MSI.Edius.log
EDIUS_[VER]_[YYYYMMDDHHMMSS]_x_.MSI.Driver.log
EDIUS_[VER]_[YYYYMMDDHHMMSS]_x_.MSI.GVLicenseManager.log
