Vertical size is half on playing H.265 video

FAQ ID:000025669 | Date:2023/06/08

If an H.265 file printed by EDIUS is loaded to third party player, detected vertical footage size is half

If you export interlaced H.265 file, two half size footage is generated. One is for upper filed, another one is lower field. Decoder should combine both to build interlaced footage.

Confirm if the player has the settings in order to handle interlaced H.265 file correctly. If not, progressive video should be exported from EDIUS.

This behavior stands on H.265 standard. If you see half size footage on third party player, cause is that player’s decoder won’t have required design in order to play interlaced footage.
