Exported file may have less quality footage

FAQ ID:000025802 | Date:2023/09/15

When exporting the timeline to a file, it contains less quality footage part.

How the issue occurs?
If partial render file exists, EDIUS uses it to save a time of video encoding. If video bit rate of partially rendered file is much less than selected exporter (or modified bit rate), you may encounter the issue.

Resolution
Take either way below

  1. If you use selected exporter regularly, select more better format in project settings – details here
  2. If the selected exporter is not used regularly, change the rendering format in the settings of the project you are currently editing. Select Settings > Project Settings > Change current setting then select render format that is equal to or better than export format. Once seleted, click [OK]
  3. As another option, delete partial render file before printing to a file. Select Render > Delete Temporary Render Files > All and click [Yes]
