How EDIUS behaves if no connection of Floating License server occurs?

This knowledge base explains EDIUS behavior regarding below if EDIUS disconnects from Floating License server while editing a project

1. Inactive features
If EDIUS disconnects to the Floating License server more than 15in, below features will be inactive:

– Print to file
– Print to tape
– Batch export
– Burn to Disc
– Launch QuickTitler 

The feathres won’t be active until reconnecting to the license server

  

2. Is it possible to save current project being edited?
Even after disconnecting from the license server, you can save a project being edited

  

3. Is it possible to open another project?
You can open another project. Follow below steps:

1) Save current project via File > Save or Save as menu

2) Select File > Exit Project

3) Start another project
NOTE: In step#3, if you quit EDIUS application, you won’t be able to open another project until connecting to the license server

  

4. How checked out license is handled?
Once EDIUS disconnects from the license server, checked out license will be returned to the server automatically
