This knowledge base instructs how you can confirm if your PC has the required accessibility for license validation
Terminology:

‘License validation’ covers below behavior that is done by GV License Manager

1. License activation or deactivation

2. Validate activated license. This works below timing

  • Starting EDIUS / Mync application
  • Print to file
  • Print to tape
  • Batch export
  • Burn to Disc
  • Run QuickTitler
Procedure:
  

1. Confirm if the application starts and works without any problem. If you can confirm it, there will not be any concern of license validation issue.

2. If any issue occurs, attempt troubleshooting
  

Access to license & eID web site
Confirm that EDIUS / Mync installed PC can access to license & eID web site. Required confirmation is vary depending on EDIUS version and edition. See below matrix

Before following the steps below, ensure that required Windows and Microsoft Edge configuration have been completed. Use ‘Related Content’ links for details.

1) Visit the FlexNet portal site(https://activation1.grassvalley.com) in web browser
2) If below screen appears, close the window

3) Visit eID web site (https://ediusid1.grassvalley.com)in web browser and confirm if you can log into eID my account page. Once confirmed, close the web browser

Delete cache file

If the issue still remains, try to clear the cache by following steps:

1) Press Win + R to open Run command box.

2) Type inetcpl.cpl then click [OK].

3) Internet Properties will appear. Go to [General].

4) In Browsing history pane, click [Delete].

5) Only tick Temporary Internet files then click [Delete].

6) Click [Apply] > [OK].

7) Restart the OS.

8) Try to visit the web sites.
