EDIUS takes a long time to start up

If EDIUS takes a long time for starting up, required troubleshooting is vary depending on your environment / workflow

# Symptom Possible cause Troubleshooting

[Starting…] does not appear

– Splash disappears

Anti-virus or real-time scanning may block starting EDIUS app Deactivate running of them. Uninstallation of anti-virus may be best
2 [Starting…] splash appears for long time

No successfully of license validation

– Verify if your environment satisfies the requirements of license validation:

1. Enable use TLS 1.2 – details here 

2. Check accessibility of Flexera and eID server – details here

 – If an error appears while license validation, follow required steps – details here

– Ensure that ‘Use floating license server’ option and / or ‘Use proxy server’ unticked – details here

3 Start-up bar in “EDIUS” splash screen has no progress or progress is too slow

1.Installed plug-in may block starting EDIUS

2.No response from mapped drive

3.Loading settings might not successfully

1.Remove installed third party plug-ins temporarily for narrow down. If a plug-in that is specially developed for your system is being installed, remove it for narrow down

2.Unmap the drive then try to start the EDIUS
